Thinking Browser: Visual Highlighting of Reasoning on DOM Nodes
Abstract
Background: The work will be done in the context of the large ERC project DIADEM: Domain-centric Intelligent Automated Data Extraction Methodology whose goal is to automate web data extraction in specific application domains such as real estate, restaurants, and so on.
Principal goal of the MSc or Honour School project: Given a stream of facts about nodes in a DOM tree, we would like to visualize the "thinking" process of the reasoner, e.g., by highlighting nodes for which a new fact has been derived.The attached information of the fact might be useful as well. This would be a project with focus on system design and visualization.
Skills Needed: This project requires good analytic and software engineering skills, and involves web programming languages such as XPath, Javascript, CSS.
