Teaching Assistant

Posted: 26th April 2012

The Department of Computer Science wishes to offer one or more teaching assistantships to DPhil students to start in October 2012.

The successful applicant will be expected to assist in the running of practicals and classes for undergraduate and MSc students, and to pursue a DPhil in an area of interest to the Department of Computer Science. Teaching duties will be restricted to term-time only (24 weeks per annum), and it is expected that the DPhil will be completed within five years. This time period will take into account any time already spent on DPhil research.

Current DPhil students and those who hold a DPhil offer to begin in the 2012/13  academic year who do not have funding are invited to apply for this post. The successful applicant will receive full University and College fees for the period of appointment, plus subsistence at a level equivalent to the lower limits of the EPSRC award (currently £13,590 per annum).

Please note that the period of appointment will depend upon the amount of time already spent on the DPhil programme.
