Oxford Computer Science Faculty Hiring
As part of the University of Oxford's expansion in Computer Science, the Department of Computer Science is delighted to announce 7 faculty positions for recruitment in the 2025-2026 academic year (to start on 1 September 2026). We are looking for outstanding candidates in all areas of Computer Science.
The University of Oxford uses the grade of Associate Professor for most of its academic appointments and these posts can also come with the title of full professor. So these posts are suitable for those at the start of their careers directly from PhD, as well as for more established researchers.

Associate Professor or Professor of Computer Science, with Tutorial Fellowship (2 positions).
- These positions come with a Tutorial Fellowship, either at Wadham College or Brasenose College.
- The closing date for applications is 12 noon on 17 Dec 2025
- Candidates should be available for online talks on 17-18 Feb 2026 and 24-25 Feb 2026 and for in-person interviews in Oxford on 17-18 March 2026. Details

Associate Professor or Professor of Computer Science with Fellowship at Kellogg College (5 positions)
- These positions come with a Fellowship at Kellogg college.
- 3 of the posts are for candidates whose research is in Artificial Intelligence, one is for a candidate the research area of Systems or Security, and the research area of the final post is unconstrained.
- Those that are appointed will contribute to teaching on our Part-Time MSc programmes (including a new Part-time MSc in AI).
