Biography
I am a Research Facilitator in the Pre-Award Team within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford, where I support researchers in developing competitive funding applications and navigating the research funding landscape. Prior to joining the Department of Computer Science, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Radcliffe Department of Medicine, studying the mechanisms of cardiac regeneration in neonatal mice using single-cell techniques. During this time, I served as a Research Staff Representative for the Department and as an Early Career Researcher Representative on the Medical Sciences Division Board, contributing to initiatives that supported researcher development, engagement, and representation across the Division. I completed my PhD in Molecular Biology at the International Max Planck Research School, University of Tübingen (Germany), where my research focused on understanding molecular mechanisms underlying cerebral haemorrhage. My academic background in biomedical research, together with experience in research leadership and community engagement, informs my current role in supporting researchers and fostering a vibrant research environment.
